How to set up WordPress if the Host’s 1-click is not working

At times, the one-click installation might not work in the host.  This is the procedure in setting up WordPress if the one-click is not working.

1. Cpanel >> MySQL set up an empty database.
2. You can setup a customized database by defining the name of the database and user.  Then add the newly created user to the newly setup database.
3. Download the latest of WordPress.
4. Upload the copy to the directory say \wp you wish to install.
5. Unzip WordPress – where the WordPress files will be placed in \WordPress directory.
6. Select all files in the \WordPress directory, move these files to \wp
7. Start the WordPress installation process.
8. At the Database Section, used the Database parameters that was defined in Step 2.

However, it is advisable to install via “1-click” if the Host have that as if WordPress is not installed properly, it will have lots of nightmare!  As I have personally experienced it where everything looks perfect.  But then, somehow after sometimes issues will be popped up. It took many days to resolve only to realize that it was not installed properly as advised the tech support of the Host.
